Over the Door Traction
BENEFITS: PERFORMED TO INCREASE THE DISC SPACE IN THE NECK BY DRAWING FRESH BLOOD AND NUTRIENTS WHILE PUMPING OUT OLD BLOOD AND TOXINS. THIS EXERCISE WILL ALSO INCREASE THE CERVICAL CURVE AND DECREASE THE CHANCES FOR CONTINUED ROT AND DECAY OF THE CERVICAL SPINE.
POSITION:
- Unit is to be hung over a door
- The straight bar should be the same height as your shoulders
TIME:
- Once in the morning
- Once in the evening
HOW:
- Stand with your feet shoulder width apart
- Curved piece is at the base of the neck
- Straight bar is under your chin
- Your elbows and toes should be touching the door
- Your hands are grabbing the bar with your palms facing you
- Bend your knees and stick your buttocks backward, as if you were sitting down in an imaginary chair, while leaving the straight bar under your chin while exhaling
- Hold for a count of 2
- Inhale on the way up
- Remember to exhale when bending down and exhale when returning to starting position
- Repeat until 60 repetitions are achieved
