Gambale Extension

BENEFITS:  PERFORMED TO INCREASE THE CERVICAL CURVE BY STRENGTHENING THE POSTURAL MUSCLES OF THE NECK.

POSITION:

- On the floor

TIME:

- 60 repetitions on a 5 second count

WHEN:

- At night before bed

- Directly after doing Gambale Traction, if prescribed

HOW:

- You will be on your stomach for this exercise

- The curved bar will be on top of your neck and placed at the base of the neck

- You will extend your head backward slowly while counting up to 5

- You should start in  a nuetral position (ear above the shoulder) at #1

- At 2 1/2 you should be half way up

- At #5 your head should be all the way back
